In this position, you will work with children 12-24 months in one of our top-notch toddler rooms. You will be expected to follow program schedules for play, lunch, and nap, as well as constructing and following group activities that correspond with program-provided lesson plans. Must adhere to standard procedures for lunch time, diaper changing, and daily reports. Will be required to assist, as needed, children who are potty training or needing to use the bathroom. Must be able to lift an infant or young child (up to 40 lbs.) to a changing table or other adult level surface in order to change diapers and/or clothing or provide first aid and comfort. Must use proper enunciation when speaking in order to teach infants and young children to correctly speak and understand the English language.

Candidate MUST:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be reliable. References for reliable attendance will be confirmed with previous employers.
  • Have 1 year qualifying experience
  • Be willing to obtain Infant and Child First Aid and CPR, Fire Safety, along with 10 hours of required staff development training on a yearly basis
  • Pass a national criminal background and fingerprint check
  • Be organized, nurturing, and patient
  • Be willing to work with center curriculum and hygiene practices
